Application Acceleration Technology-A Boon
Many corporations require combined voice, video and Internet access with a two-way Internet bandwidth of at least 100 Mbps. This is a forward-looking composite requirement that recognizes that a typical corporation with 250+ employees will be watching videos, talking on the telephone, and accessing the Internet all at the same time.
About 300 million people in the world are telecommuting to work today. Better, faster, and cheaper communication infrastructure would mean a phenomenal increase in productivity and a better quality of life.
Knowing the impact of Internet on mankind and despite hundreds of terabyte Internet bandwidth capacity across the world, what is stopping us from using bandwidth to its full extent? Why are we still talking of speed in terms of kilobits when hundreds of terabyte Internet capacities have already been laid and tested?
The fiber glut
There exists a vast international bandwidth capacity across all continents and countries connecting their various cities and towns and terminating at various places that are called Point of Presence (PoP). More than a billion Internet users exist throughout the world. The challenge consists of connecting these users to the nearest POP. The connectivity between various client sites and POPs, called the last mile connectivity, is the bottleneck.
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) built the long haul and backbone networks spending billions over the past five years. ISPs spent to this extent to increase the broadband capacity by 250 times in long haul; yet, the capacity in the metro area increased only 16 fold. Over this period, the last mile access has remained the same, with the result that data moves very slowly in the last mile. Upgrading to higher bandwidths is either not possible or the cost is extremely prohibitive. The growth of Internet seems to have reached a dead end, with possible adverse effects on the quality and quantity of the Internet bandwidth that is available for the growing needs of enterprises and consumers.Compounding this is the technical limitations of Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
TCP/IP limitations
The Internet works on a protocol called the TCP/IP. TCP/IP performs well over short-distance Local Area Network (LAN) environments but poorly over Wide Area Networks (WANs) because it was not designed for it.
TCP as a transport layer has several limitations that cause many applications to perform poorly, especially over distance. These include: window size limitations for transmission of data, slow start of data transmission, inefficient error recovery mechanisms, packet loss, and disruption of transmission of data. The net result of issues is poor bandwidth utilization. The typical bandwidth utilization for large data transfers over long-haul networks is usually less than 30 percent, and more often less than 10 percent. Even if a chance of upgrading the last miles even at very high costs exists, the effective increase would be only 10 percent of the upgraded bandwidth. Hence, upgrading networks is a very expensive proposition.
A new technology called the ‘Application Acceleration’ has emerged, which accelerates the Internet applications over WANs using the same Internet infrastructure, circumventing to some extent the problems caused due to lack of bandwidth.
Application accelerators, as the name suggests, are appliances that accelerate applications by reengineering the way data, video, and voice is sent/transmitted over networks. Application acceleration addresses non-bandwidth congestion problems caused by TCP and application-layer protocols, thereby, significantly reducing the size of the data being sent along with the number of packets it takes to complete a transaction, and performs other actions to speed up the entire process.
Application accelerators can also monitor the traffic and help with security. Some appliances mitigate performance issues by simply caching the data and/or compressing the data before transfer. Others have the ability to mitigate several TCP issues because of their superior architecture.
These appliances have the ability to mitigate latency issues, compress the data, and shield the application from network disruptions. Further, these new appliances are transparent to operations and provide the same transparency to the IP application as TCP/IP application accelerators have the following features using Layer 4-7 Switching.
Transport protocol conversion
Some data center appliances provide alternative transport delivery mechanisms between appliances. In doing so, they receive the optimized buffers from the local application and deliver them to the destination appliance for subsequent delivery to the remote application process. Alternative transport technologies are responsible for maintaining acknowledgements of data buffers and resending buffers when required.
They maintain a flow control mechanism on each connection in order to optimize the performance of each connection to match the available bandwidth and network capacity. Some appliances provide a complete transport mechanism for managing data delivery and use User Datagram Protocol (UDP) socket calls as an efficient, low overhead, data streaming protocol to read and write from the network.
Compression engine
A compression engine as part of the data center appliance compresses the aggregated packets that are in the highly efficient IP accelerator appliance buffers. This provides an even greater level of compression efficiency, since a large block of data is compressed at once rather than multiple small packets being compressed individually. Allowing compression to occur in the LAN-connected appliance frees up significant CPU cycles on the server where the application is resident.
Overcoming packet loss
The largest challenge in the TCP/IP performance improvements centers is the issue of packet loss. Packet loss is caused by network errors or changes better known as network exceptions. Most networks have some packet loss, usually in the 0.01 percent to 0.5 percent in optical WANs to 0.01 percent to 1 percent in copper-based Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) networks. Either way, the loss of up to one or more packets in every 100 packets causes the TCP transport to retransmit packets, slows down the transmission of packets from a given source, and re-enters slow-start mode each time a packet is lost. This error recovery process causes the effective throughput of a WAN to drop to as low as 10 percent of whatever the available bandwidth is between two sites.
IP application accelerators optimize blocks of data traversing the WAN by maintaining acknowledgements of the data buffers and only sending the buffers that did not make it, and not the whole frame. This allows for the use of a better transport protocol that will not retract data or move into a slow start mode. Using a more efficient transport protocol has lower overhead and streams the data on reads and writes cycles from source to destination. This is completely transparent to the process running a given server application.
Caching
Web documents retrieved may be stored (cached) for a time so that they can be conveniently accessed if further requests are made for them. There is no need for the entire data to move cross the network and only updating requests are sent across, thereby optimizing network bandwidth.
Server load Balancing
Server load balancers distribute processing and communications activity evenly across a computer network so that no single device is overwhelmed. Load balancing is especially important for networks where it is difficult to predict the number of requests that will be issued to a server. Busy Web sites/Web sites with a heavy traffic typically employ two or more Web servers in a load-balancing scheme.
SSL acceleration
Secure sockets layer (SSL) is a popular method for encrypting data that is transferred over the Internet. SSL acceleration is a method of offloading the processor-intensive public key encryption algorithms involved in SSL transactions to a hardware accelerator. Typically, this is a separate card in an appliance that contains a co-processor able to handle most of the SSL processing.
Despite the fact that it uses faster symmetric encryption for confidentiality, SSL still causes a performance slowdown. That is because there is more to SSL than the data encryption. The “handshake” process, whereby the server (and sometimes the client) is authenticated, uses digital certificates based on asymmetric or public key encryption technology. Public key encryption is very secure, but also very processor-intensive and thus has a significant
negative impact on performance. The method used to address the SSL performance problem is the hardware accelerator. By using an intelligent card that plugs into a PCI slot or SCSI port to do the SSL processing, it relieves the load on the Web server’s main processor.
Connection multiplexing
Connection multiplexing works by taking advantage of a feature in HTTP/1.1 that allows for multiple HTTP requests to be made over the same TCP connection. So instead of passing each HTTP connection from the client to the server in a one-to-one manner, the appliance combines many separate HTTP requests from clients into relatively few HTTP connections to the server. This keeps the connections to the server open across multiple requests, thus eliminating the high turnover that is typically encountered in high volume Web sites. The ultimate result is that there is higher performance out of the same servers without any changes or improvements to the server infrastructure.
Clustering
A cluster is a group of application servers that transparently run applications as if it were a single entity. Clusters can comprise redundant and fail over-capable machines: A typical cluster in a network integrates Layer 4-7 Load Balancers, Gateway Routers, which exist at the end of a network on each side, and various switches in a network, which integrates the application and Web Servers with the whole Network. Firewalls are used in filtering port level access to all network resources and data storage devices (which can use any media such as Tape drives, Magneto- Optical drives or Simple hard drives). A cluster manages the writing of data on main storage devices as well as the redundant ones and manages switchover to redundant storage media in case of a failure of primary data storage devices.
Network security (Firewalls)
Network security protects the networks and their services from unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure, and provides assurance that the network performs its critical functions correctly and that there are no harmful side effects. It also includes providing for data integrity. Gateway that limits access between networks in accordance with local security policy is called Firewalls and can be implemented in Layer 4-7 Switching.
Firewalls are used to prevent unauthorized Internet users from accessing private networks. All messages entering or leaving the intranet pass through the firewall, which examines each message and blocks those that do not meet the specified security criteria.A firewall is usually considered a first line of defense in protecting private information.
Bandwidth management, QoS, monitoring and reporting
Bandwidth management appliances allocate bandwidth to mission-critical applications, slow down non-critical applications, and stop bandwidth abuse in order to efficiently deliver networked applications to the branch office. The primary goal of Quality of Service (QoS) is to provide priority including dedicated bandwidth, controlled jitter, and atency (required by some real-time and interactive traffic) to applications traveling on the network.
End-to-end performance monitoring and reporting provides the WAN visibility required to analyze the traffic; Layer 7 QoS allocates bandwidth according to rules and policies. Traffic is automatically categorized into application classes.
Easy to understand shaping policies such as “real-time” or “block” govern the flow of traffic. Packet fragmentation assures that large data packets do not violate VoIP/video latency budgets, while packet aggregation ensures higher WAN capacity and stabilizes jitter. This guarantees that delay-sensitive traffic such as VoIP can be allocated a minimum amount of bandwidth to ensure optimal voice quality even when WAN links are congested or oversubscribed.
The net result of these features is that very high data transfer speeds, some times as much as 10X, are achieved. This technology has come as a boon to the Internet-starved industry achievement of higher bandwidth speeds and means that organizations can now look forward to explosive growth in their Internet business.
The demand for Internet bandwidth is bound to increase by the day. The application acceleration technology is expected to give the much-needed respite to ISPs and the Government to better plan and implement the last miles on the best possible media and resolve the last mile bottlenecks forever.

How to Uncover the Best Used Car Deal
Whatever your exact budget, finding a great used car deal doesn’t have to be difficult. Often, it just takes time and effort but you will be rewarded by driving a new set of wheels without risking financial ruin.
First things first – getting a cheap car is one thing, getting a value-for-money car is another. To be sure your discount find is really a good deal, you’ll need to consider what other costs you might incur because of it. Maintaining a cheap car is an expensive. Something to be on the lookout for when buying a used car is accident damage or other problems with the frame or suspension.
Finding a cheap car is not difficult – if you know where to look and what to watch for. The key to buying a good cheap car is to keep it local. If you are in the market for used car deals, you can find allot of cheap cars in the paper under estate auctions. You could also check out the used car deals at your local dealership.
Another not-so-secret source for finding a used car deal is auto auctions. At an auto auction, cars are sold to the person with the highest bid. Auctions are one of the best sources for finding discounts on used vehicles. You should know that the pace at these auctions is usually very high paced.
Getting a good deal on a used car at an auto auction is quite simple and very real. In fact, auto auctions are where many used car dealers go to find deals for their sales lot. For those who are bold and serious about buying a car at a steep discount, attending a live government seized auto auction should be top on your list.
The best way to find a cheap car is not to restrict yourself, be prepared to travel far and wide if you turn up nothing close to home. If you stick to it, your diligence will pay off when you are driving a reliable car at a price you can afford.

Alternative Methods to Boost the Immune System
Strengthening the Immune System Through Alternative Methods
A healthy way of life can do a lot to contribute to having a stronger immune system. Many of the simple things we do each day, such as eating right, exercising and taking time to properly rest does much to help our systems recharge, including our immune system. With all the rave about natural medicine there are those who believe there are also other practices an individual could incorporate into his or her lifestyle what will aid in building the immune system.
Herbal remedies have been used for thousands of years to help bring the body back to balance. Plants grown in controlled conditions without chemical fertilizers or pesticides can be a great way to tap into this natural form of healing. This can be a very effective path to help strengthen the immune system. Essential oils are also said to aid in boosting the immune system. When essential oils are produced from plants that have not been chemically treated, they can also be a part of a program to help build a person’s immune system. Those who have taken a more comprehensive approach with holistic medicine have also seen good results with improving the functioning of their immune system. Whichever way a person decides to go, these are among several good approaches for working to stay healthy.
Because building the immune system is so crucial, there is ongoing research and studies carried out regularly seeking answers and solutions to boosting the immune system. New people are continuously discovering the advantages of taking natural approaches to healing. Traditional forms of medicine seem to be causing as many problems as they solve, with medications being prescribed just to counteract the side effects of other medications. Those who are using holistic and alternative forms of medicine are seeing good results without the side effects of traditional drugs.
A healthy immune system results in a healthy body and a happy person. This can actually become a kind of “positive feedback” loop as having a positive attitude can actually help all of our body’s systems to work better, including the immune system. With all of the threats to our health coming at us continuously it becomes even more important to do what we can to make sure we stay healthy, including keeping our immune system strong. There are many routes the individual can choose for developing a stronger overall health profile. When making this kind of decision, it’s important to find a method that will fit in well with your way of life. Read about nine strategies that, taken together, can help to change course without abandoning the destination and help you restore your work life balance.
I like working with independent professionals and artists because of the way the work life balance shows itself in our lives – for us, life, work, and business exist in a nexus from which we cannot easily extract our ways of loving, relating, and making meaning. The challenges we face in business inform our personal lives and personal challenges affect our businesses.
Rich as it is, the relationship between personal and professional life can be rocky and maintaining the work life balance is often a tricky issue. I experienced this recently when, within a few weeks of declaring some audacious goals for my business, a routine mammogram turned up some abnormalities. In the following weeks I had additional mammography, a biopsy, and surgery, with the happy outcome that the abnormalities were benign. I wanted to put the experience behind me and get back to work, full speed ahead.
The problem was that I didn’t feel like it. I enjoyed my client work and my speaking engagements, but I dreaded the creative and analytic work related to teleclasses and Internet marketing. Try as I might, I just didn’t have the juice for these projects. On the life side, I felt I needed time and energy for processing, renewal and restoring my inner balance; on the work side I felt I needed to make up for lost time.
I’ve been caught between the promptings of my spirit and the requirements of my business more than a few times, and I know pat success formulas don’t help. I also know it is possible to take care of ourselves and our businesses if we are willing to do the work.
Here are nine strategies that, taken together, can help to change course without abandoning the destination and help you restore your work life balance:
1. Don’t panic.
Even if you feel panicky, you can choose modest, recoverable steps to address the situation. This is no time to get a divorce, fire an employee, or buy a new computer system. Tip: Talk with a coach or therapist to get perspective.
2. Return to Source.
Whatever your spiritual orientation or tradition, connect with what for you is the Source of life or spirit. Know that there is something larger than you that encompasses you. Spend at least 15 minutes each day connecting with that Source. (I like Mark Silver’s Remembrance Practice described in his free downloadable workbook Getting to the Core of Your Business.)
3. Take a body inventory.
Are you sleeping well? How are you eating? What’s your energy level? If these are not up to par, get a professional evaluation and take the steps that will restore your well being.
4. Tell the truth.
Sometimes energy flags when we’ve gotten into a pattern of pleasing others or living according to standards that are not our own. Notice if there is any disbalance. Notice where you’re being less than forthright and get clear about your motives, then clean it up. (Talking to a coach or therapist can facilitate clear, authentic communication.)
5. Keep good company.
Are you stimulated and encouraged by your peers and clients? Do you have great playmates? Playing on the wrong playground with the wrong kids is neither fun nor productive.
6. Tune Up Your Thinking.
There’s substantial evidence that managing the way we think can have a profound and lasting effect on mood and motivation. See Amazon.com for books you can use to tune up your cognitive skills and/or make a date with a therapist. (If you are otherwise in good psychological health a skilled coach can help, too.)
7. Set Healthy, Flexible Boundaries.
Yes, real life and real business are intimately connected, but that doesn’t mean that you need to give up your privacy. To find your work life balance, set boundaries so that you can feel generous without feeling depleted and available without feeling invaded. Keep them flexible, because (doncha know?) things change.
8. Create or Refine Systems.
We can’t manage real life and a real business without good systems. Look at where things feel most out of sorts and resolve to create or improve a system to get things on track.
9. Keep the Goal, Drop the Plan.
Sometimes the best way to achieve a goal is to let go of our plans. Promptly and clearly revise commitments and offers as necessary to bring current activity in line with current resources. Why abandon ship when you can drop anchor while you make some repairs (or while you enjoy a few weeks in the sun!)?
As for me, these strategies led me to postpone the re-launch of the Authentic Promotion teleclass and take a break from Internet marketing. Having stopped the war between myself and my business, I restored my work life balance and now feel more engaged with the things that I choose to take on (like writing this article.) My audacious goals are now shining possibilities instead of looming obligations, and if it takes a little longer to reach them, arriving will be all the sweeter.

Travel Insurance Might Be Just What You Need!
Travel Insurance Might Be Just What You Need!
by: Mike Yeager
Travel insurance is something that many people havent considered. Sure, its possible that you may never have to access your travel insurance, but just having it can really give you peace of mind. As it so often happens, there are many different circumstances or situations that could cause you to cancel your trip, interrupt your plans and possibly return home early or force you to seek emergency medical treatment while traveling. To demonstrate the importance of purchasing travel insurance, and emergency travel services, here are a few common examples of what might go wrong:
It’s 8:00 p.m. and your family arrives at the airport for a connecting flight, only to find that your flight has been cancelled. How do you get your family home? A travel insurance policy would be very helpful.
Your spouses luggage was lost which contained his medical insulin inside. Obviously he needs to locate that piece of luggage very soon. What could you do?
Its your first visit overseas to Europe, and your passport and wallet are stolen. A terrible circumstance to be in under any condition. Where would you turn for emergency cash, and very importantly, how will you get your passport replaced?
Your spouse is involved in an accident and adequate medical treatment is not available. Who will help arrange and pay for a medical evacuation? A solid travel medical insurance policy would go a long ways towards easing the difficulties of this situation.
Sure, these circumstances are rare and may not ever happen to you. However, if you have adequate travel insurance you can relax a little because now youve got someone on your side.
Take your time and look around to see what is offered and were confident youll find the travel insurance you need.

Why Your Kids Will Want to Travel with you?
Teenagers are usually reluctant to join their families on vacations and most parents have to work hard in order to convince them to join. But then these parents are filled with anxiety since they now have to worry that these kids will enjoy themselves. A vacation is not just time off but time off that is spent in bridging gpas that may or may not have grown between family members. Here, I help such parents in their search for a joyful holiday.
1) Pick vacational resorts offering fun activities that can be done as a group such as water sports, clowns, billiard tables, tennis and soccer grounds, basketball courts and swimming pools. But the idea is not to let them go on their own but to join them and take an active part in the games or water sports.
2) A vacation is the perfect setting for reenergizing yourself and your relationship with your kids. Make an effort to find out what their preferrences are and then actively take part in these activities. Some options are going for a swim and then using a rubber ball to play fetch. Snooker tables or tennis courts are another option where one can direct them how to play and then play against or with them. Physical activites should be preferred over the other types of games because physical bonds are the fastest and easiest to make.
2) Board Games are excellent for intimate bonding. Try and learn which ones they like and then bring them along on the vacation (without telling them). Then, as you sit by the swimming pool or on the lawns or by the sea, take them out. Be prepared for they will not be happy, but once you begin playing and they get involved, you will see the difference. Try doing this activity during the early hours of the evening when the physical activities have taken their toll and all are tired. are about to take a break and people will be going to get ready for dinner which is usually served at around eight. In any case, arrange it so that you have at least an hour of playing time and then stop when you finish the allocated period. Do this and your children will wish you did not stop and will not get tired.
3) Do not head for the dining room immediately but rather go when it is about a half-and hour before the end of the meal. The children will have less time to fool around and most of the tables will be empty thus saving you any embarrassment even if they do make a mess.
Whatever the rules you make, try bearing in mind that you have all come for a vacation so don’t make the limits too strict. But on the other hand, don’t do the exact opposite and allow everything. Doing such a thing to children can be even more destructive than strict rules and eventually we should all keep in mind that you are parents and as such have to think of the long time goals and not the short time enjoyment of your children.

Don’t Start Another Business To Fund Your Business
Don’t Start Another Business To Fund Your Business
By Audrey Bell-Kearney – 2006
I often talk to women who want to start a business, but they just don’t have enough money, so they decide to start another project on the side to earn enough money to kick-start the business that they really want to do. What I don’t think a lot of them realize is that whatever project they decide to start is just like starting another business. You still have to plan and market this project. So why you’re starting something else to earn money for your main business, you are really taking time and energy away from you main focus. The only way that you are going to take your business where you want it to go is to stay focused. Your business has to be your main focus. You should not start any side projects until your business is where you want it to be. Also, if your goal is to build a brand, then everything that you do should be geared toward your business. You have to think outside of the box. You have to be creative. I was in the same boat. I really wanted to do my business, but the money was not there. So I decided to start something on the side to earn the money, and what I found is that even though the money is there to be made, I had no passion for the side project therefore, I did not focus at all on it nor did I earn the money I needed for the business that I really wanted to start.
My suggestion to anyone starting a business, but are short on money is to find a silent partner that will give you a small start-up loan. Enough to get business cards, register your business, get your website up and running and to send out press releases for electronic newswire. These are small steps, but big things happen with small steps. You may feel like this is nothing and you are not making any progress, but you really are. Let me just tell you some of the things I did to start my magazine with no money.
1. I registered the business as a LLC $125
2. I built the Sister INC. Website $8.95
3. I got 500 business cards made $15.00
4. I ordered 500 postcards $60.00
To make some side money to help me get started, instead of starting a new venture, I created products surrounding my core business. My goal is to build a brand, so here are some of the things I did.
1. I made t-shirts to sell at Spring festivals where I bought a table for about $20-$30
2. I got three drawings done so that I could create greeting cards and t-shirts
3. I am also going to put those same drawings on collector’s plates.
Everything that I develop to sell has my company name on it. This way I am earning extra money and building a brand at the same time. Your focus has to be clear and you have to be creative. You will see your business start to take off from the little things that you do.
How to Manage Your Business’ Finances
Financing your business is one of the most important things you will need to do. Many new businesses fail because of poor financial management. It is critical to your business that you have a sound budget plan and keep good accounting records. When you accept payments online it is also important to keep at least 2 payment processor options open for your customers and clients. The first thing you will need to do for your business is to establish a sound financial budget. Open a special bank account that you will reserve for your business only. Try to keep your business transactions and household accounts completely separate. Do not borrow from one to another, no matter how tough the going gets. One of the biggest mistakes is to mix business with household finances.Set up an accounting system, where you will keep monthly or even weekly records, this can be on excel or you can use a program like Quicken. Quicken works with online banking so you will have to set up your bank account online. Having a program like this will simplify your transactions and keep your bookkeeping straight. It is most important to keep good records to keep your business running smoothly.Accepting credit cards and payments online is also an important part of your business, unless you are working exclusively with affiliate programs. Try to set up at least 2 payment processors on your website. Paypal is free and easy to set up, but is not always popular and does not accept some countries. You can also have a back up system with 2Checkout, ClickBank or another processor of your choice. Research these processors carefully and be sure you are not paying excessive fees.Sometimes you may need to take out an initial loan for your business. You can discuss this with your bank or use some resources online. The Small Business Administration’s website gives many good resources for financing your enterprise. When taking out a loan remember to do your research first and read the fine print carefully before signing anything.Always keep in mind that a new business rarely shows any profit within the first 3 months and you should take this fact into consideration when planning your monthly budget. Decide how much you can really afford to invest in your business each month. Do not starve your business but at the same time try not to overspend. Start small and work your way up.When you pay attention to your business finances you will be able to run your business efficiently and not have to close due to lack of money. The golden rule is to never let your business run out of money.Zach Thompson is a 23 year-old internet marketer & business coach. Sufficient Vitamins For The Day
It is common knowledge, that if you eat 3 healthy and balanced meals every day, you should get all of the necessary vitamins and minerals your body needs to function.
Even though we have varying nutritional needs, we know that we all need vitamins in order to live a healthy life and prevent diseases. Since caveman days, we have been eating vitamins and minerals. Today, we get a certain amount of the needed vitamins and minerals just by consuming foods and beverages.
The FDA has set the daily intake that we should take into our bodies to keep us healthy and give us energy. The only problem with going by this system completely is that it is set at the minimum that we need. We need to take into consideration our age, our current health, our body size and our activity output, such as what type of work we perform daily. We would also need to consider whether we work indoors or outdoors.
Other things to take into account are the polluted air, the water we drink, and the foods that we eat that are supposed to contain the quantity of vitamins and minerals that we should consume daily.
Add to this the fact that some of us do not like certain foods or that senior citizens and children cannot digest some of the foods. We have grown up with learned eating habits, such as the way our food was prepared, or even what was offered.
In days gone by, we were able to obtain fresh vegetables and fruits right from the ground or the tree. We did not use pesticides or herbicides to enable us to have a more abundant crop each year.
Now days, our food is grown in substandard soil (depleted from years of use), picked before they are fully ripened (in order to get them to the market on time), refrigerated, shipped numerous miles, refrigerated again and left sitting on the store shelf for hours if not days.
To add insult to all of this, we take it home and peel off the important skin (which contains vitamins and minerals) boil it in water that further removes vitamins and minerals. Have you ever noticed the orange colored water when you cook carrots? This is poured down the drain and does not end up in your stomach, where it can do you any good.
Or what is worse, our fast-paced life has caused us to eat fast foods either, at an outlet that may offer such foods as hamburgers and French fries or ready made or packaged meals. These foods are definitely, shortchanged in vitamins and minerals not to mention the fact that they were fried.
Okay, you say, but they add vitamins and minerals to our food to make it healthful for us to eat. The amount of vitamins or minerals that, are added to your food is akin to someone on the street slugging you, knocking you down and taking your wallet. Then they decide they feel sorry for you, so they take $2.00 out of your wallet and throw it on your chest before running off with the rest of it.
So what do we do? First, it is important to realize we should try to get many of our vitamins and minerals from good food, cooked properly or eaten raw. Then, considering that the food is deprived, we need to add a daily supplement of vitamins and minerals to our diet to compliment that which we have taken in. Keep in mind that the antioxidants play an important role in protecting your body from the daily onslaught of the pollution that we face.
No matter how careful we are, we cannot avoid all pollution. The car fumes we breathe, the water that has so much added to it to make it potable, and as I already pointed out, the food that is so lacking. Take that and add it to the daily stress and being overworked puts a huge burden on our bodies.
